Automatic Gate 1030

A set of wrought iron driveway gates, all hand forged and hot riveted, the gates were hot dipped galvanised and painted with a special paint finish which makes gates look aged.

One leaf of double driveway gates. With "Hot rivets" holding vertical bars. each gate leaf weighs 180KG.

Hand forged flat bar scroll with "point taper" and rivets.

Shown here is one of the hand forged hinge system complete with grease nipple and grease race (internal, the grease race allows the grease to flow around bearing surface which is very important when installing gates near salt water). Please note the bearing mounting plate and the scalloped corners with a flatbar surround. Attention to detail.

You can see the paint colour and texture quiet clearly here. It's hard to believe that these gates have been galvanised. The clear sealer applied on top of the "Rust paint" prevents rust stains from the paint appearing on the sandstone.
